"I visited Plomb du Cantal in Paris and overall it was a good experience. The steak had good flavor, but unfortunately it was quite hard to cut and not as soft or tender as expected. The waiter was friendly and nice, which I appreciated, however the strong smell of cigarettes was unpleasant and affected the experience. Overall, a decent place with room for improvement, especially in comfort and food texture."

"Absolutely perfect dinner! The food was fantastic and the service from Matt was flawless. Great food options and the Kir was a great accompaniment."

"This is a great place to truffade and aligot, especially if you are unfamiliar with those French dishes. The portions are large and it's very close to the Montparnasse Tower which makes it centrally located. It can get pretty crowded in the evening though."

"A lively restaurant clearly loved by locals. We came here out of curiosity for aligot, and were very glad we discovered this gem near our hotel. By a little after 8 pm, the place was already very full. We originally planned to order one starter, one salad, and two mains, but the staff kindly warned us that the portions might be too much for two people. We followed their advice and ordered one fewer main — and were very glad we did. When the food arrived, it was clear the portions were indeed generous. The Saint-Flour salad came with three large slices of cured ham and was generously topped with chunks of cheese. The duck breast with aligot was outstanding: the duck was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavour. Watching the aligot being poured onto the plate was almost a performance in itself — rich, stretchy, intensely cheesy, yet not overly heavy. An extremely satisfying and memorable dining experience!"

"The food was excellent. I had the beef tenderloin with French fries. It was perfect! For desert we shared the "Dessert of the Century". Absolutely incredible! Creme Brulee on top of apple pie served with vanilla ice cream- fantastic. Our server Matt was excellent, friendly, and helpful. I hope to come back again."

"Le Plomb du Cantal was one of the best food experiences we had in Paris. I was craving some meat and they delivered. We ordered the steak with aligot; the steak was medium rare, it was nice and juicy. The aligot was our first time and it had a yummy cheesy flavor to it. We also had hot wine that complimented well with the food. If you’re looking for a filling meal, this is the place!"

"I understand now why this place is so famous! The service and the food were amazing. It was my first time trying Aligot and I was blown away! The steak was cooked to perfection. I was recommend the creme brûlée apple tart for dessert and it’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever had. I’m definitely coming back!"
